As PUBG came closer to launch, many of the small updates, in addition to the expected refinements and tweaks, included new weapons or clothing items, with the former primarily being loot crate-exclusive guns that weren’t common enough to have a drastic impact on the core gameplay for most players. While these small additions were welcome, and would continue to be so over the months to come, Bluehole will have to set their sights higher if they want to keep old players returning and attract new players. Considering how large an impact the second map has made upon the playerbase, concrete details regarding a third or fourth map could spark intrigue among the community, as well as the assortment of new vehicles that could be found within it. Beyond the predictable, Bluehole and PUBG Weapons Corp. likely have a few surprises up their sleeves as PUBG enters its second year and it will be interesting to see whether or not the developers can curb the current downward trend of one of 2017’s definitive titles.

It's well known by now that _PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds _ has left a massive dent in the video gaming industry - and now it's just how big that dent really is, seeing as the game has now broken into the top 10 best-selling video games of all time. The battle royale shooter from Bluehole ( which is now PUBG Corporation ) received various accolades and honors for 2017, and its success hasn't slowed down in 2018 so far, at least not with regard to sa

Considering the fact that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Steam sales have made it the third-highest grossing game on Valve's digital distribution platform, it's safe to say that the battle royale title is a bona fide success. Of course, many would still argue that the game suffers from a litany of issues, with one ever-present complaint from lots of fans being about how Chinese cheaters are making PUBG matches unfair. This has led to plenty of calls for PUBG Corp. to "region lock China," but its creator Brendan Greene disagrees that it's a viable solution to the prob

What's more is that Tencent – the company responsible for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds ' Chinese localization and the mobile port – went so far as to work with the country's police to catch cheat makers. This collaboration between Tencent and the Chinese authorities assisted police in uncovering 30 cases of alleged involvement in making PUBG cheats and led to the arrest 120 people in Chi

Even with stiff competition from Fortnite Battle Royale , Battlegrounds has persevered. However, it's worth noting that the game has had a long-standing issue with cheaters. Gamers who play PUBG - which features 100 players skydiving onto a large map, looting buildings, and fighting off each other until one player/squad remains - have had their gameplay experiences marred by constant cheaters who've avoided being banned. While the studio has undergone numerous purges of said cheaters, nefarious players continue to crop up daily, and it's becoming an issue for PC players who've supported the title since the very beginning, even when PUBG officially released without fixing its biggest iss

The team also noted that another issue in their deathcam, replay and observing systems. If you watch the replays of other players, you might notice no recoil which is an indication of someone using a cheat. The team is now confirming that this just a bug in the system and they will be fixing it as soon as possible. They also have plans to re-balance the blue zone and enhance the combat experience in a match to make them seems less "chaot

The player verses player (PvP) action game pits up to one-hundred players against each other in a battle royale similar to The Hunger Games where the last man standing wins. Each match starts with the players parachuting from a plane onto a massive map representing an abandoned wasteland filled with decrepit buildings, various weapons ranging from guns, rifles, machetes and frying pans, cars, grenades and other gear used to defend yourself and kill other players. It's a fairly brutal game with no music, just the sounds of gunshots in the distance, as you fight to survive while the playable area on the map grows smaller and smaller. The start-up game was originally made for the PC but, due to its overwhelming success, it was recently updated and made for the Xbox One selling 3 million copies despite some glaring issu

_PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds _ is cracking down on cheaters trying to hack the system by permanently banning them. The multiplayer online battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation last year quickly became one of 2017's most popular video games appearing on many best video games of the year lists and receiving several nominations for Game of the Year and other awa

"We just implemented ping-based matchmaking which really has improved the gameplay experience for a lot of players. It's working out quite well and we're still doing research. We have the data team looking into it and trying to improve it. And that's the goal with the game, to keep improving it over this year and the next year and the next ten yea
