It's a good month to own a monster PC. Battlefield 3 just came out and if I can ever get Origin to let me play I'll be spending a lot of my time on it. Everyone else is making noise about the shocking ending to Batman: Arkham City, but not me. I'm late to the party and I'll be waiting till November 18th till I can play the game I'm most excited for this mo

_2016 has come to a close and while the new year ahead has plenty of games for us to look forward to, the beginning of the year is also the perfect time to reflect on the games that made the previous year so exceptional, with 2016 being no exceptiona

Voting started on December 24th, and ended on January 21st. Each voter was asked to give ten preferences in order, with the first game scoring four points, second and third scoring three, ranks from four to six scoring two points, and the rest only one. Two honorable mentions were also allowed, but scored no points.

I'm still playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution heavily, trying to beat every mission with the stealth bonus. I'll be playing a lot of Assassin's Creed 2 and Oblivion in anticipation for Revelations and Skyrim . When I'm not doing that, you can find me on the PC still playing Civ

Did you know Overwatch is different depending on whether it's on the PC or a console? Though the game is mostly the same across platforms, there are a few outlying situations where changes were made out of necessity. One of these changes is with everyone's favorite Swedish engineer that they just love to hate: Torbjörn. Due to perceived differences in reaction time from PC to console, the console version of Torbjörn's turret was adjusted to have lower damage, as it was difficult to notice and avoid his turret's lock-on before it was too late. This was an adjustment made early into the game's release, which has since seen most other characters get modified health or armor and altered damage outputs. Many players, either Torbjörn fans or teammates that just want their stubborn friends to be more successful in putting enemies down, think it's time to revisit Torbjörn's damage and make him more viable as a defensive hero. People always underestimate the engine

Sombra, as she is at this moment, is under-powered in multiple ways. She relies too heavily on her hack; an ability that is easy to interrupt and difficult to fully utilize. Like most of the heroes in this section of the list, a Tracer or Genji would serve the team better in almost any situat

A skilled player can do work with any hero in the game, and that's no different with Torbjörn. His damage is more consistent that Junkrat's, but he suffers from similar problems. For one, it's not hard to block or out-heal his turret damage. Even more, at higher levels, turrets don't have a very high lifespan if they aren't being protected with priority. They're relatively easy to deal with, even on cons

While I had several experiences to get me through months at a time throughout the year, Overwatch is the title that I kept coming back to all year long. Even in a year where shooters reigned supreme -- between it, DOOM , Titanfall 2 , Battlefield 1 , Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare , and so many others -- Overwatch surpassed not only my expectations of the experience it would offer as a competitive shooter, but genuinely came as a surprise in becoming my favorite gaming experience of the entire y
