In the tabletop game, Cyberpsychosis happens when a player reaches zero humanity points. This is because they are constantly acquiring more and more cyberware for their character. When this happens, they go insane, just like the cyberpsychos in the video game. It also explains why the Maelstrom gang has a ruthless and unpredictable reputat

I’m sitting far enough back that I’m out of the crowd. Watching. Watching the line of people and vehicles as they wait at the border. Watching the Tower Group guards as they give the go-ahead to some to pass through the gate, forcing others – often physically – out of line and sending them wearily back to the bordertown; the badlands. They were probably mutants. Tower guards hate mutants. On the other side of the gate lies Cincinnati, now one of the only places in North America that’s hospitable enough to act as a major city – at least, as far as I’m aware right now. I’ve seen planes flying in and out of the city. There has to be somewhere else, ri

Upon entering the game for the first time, there’s a bit of a learning curve. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s super steep, but the interface can be a little overwhelming until you spend some time with it. There’s also often a vagueness in the narrative that takes some getting used to. However, I think this adds to the game’s immersive experience. You’re essentially a newcomer to the bordertown, tasked with somehow getting through the gate into Cincinnati. You’re not really given any direction and are left to figure things out on your own. This "picking yourself up by the bootstraps" experience forces you to be uncomfortable and confused at first, but eventually pays off as you learn the nuances of the g

The JB - TPP MOD WIP Third Person mod achieves exactly this, allowing players to toggle between first-person and third-person views, adjust the angle as they desire, and even find hidden places that do not expose themselves at first glance when playing the game in the first person. While this mod is still buggy at times, it is sure to improve in the coming months, especially with mod support from CD Projekt Red becoming offic

Despite being categorized as a gang in Westbrook, The Mox mainly operate at Lizzie’s Bar in Watson (where potential romance Judy Alvarez works), which is the home turf of Maelstrom. The Mox might as well be a gang solely in name, since it doesn't behave like any other gang in Night City. It won’t help V and Judy in the annexation of Clouds from the Tyger Claws, and the Claws don’t seem to have any business with The Mox and Lizzie’s Bar. The Mox claim to help Joytoys and Dolls, but there isn't much action in-game, if any. Bullets begin to whiz past me. On one side of me, a group of bordertown rebels are attacking the guards, not caring if any innocent civilians get caught between their crosshairs. On the other side, the Tower guards at the gate respond by unleashing hell with their automatic rifles and tower turrets. I’m caught in the crossfire and I need to move. As I start, though, I hear the screams of the child that’s trapped in the cabin of the exploded truck. She’s somehow still alive – her mother, the driver of the truck, not so lucky. I could easily start running the opposite direction, away from the chaos. Instead, I take a chance and sprint towards the truck in an attempt to save the child while staying alive myself – a dice roll with odds that aren’t exactly in my fa

It primarily focuses on the aftermath of the previously mentioned fourth corporate war and how Arasaka eventually returns to Night City. Players of Red will know how Arasaka returned to Night City and without them coming back, the events of 2077 would surely have never happe

Whilst the pet iguana doesn’t do much other than sit in V’s apartment and blink slowly, it’s still an adorable addition. If players manage to pick this up, then they house one of the rarest possessions of V’s, and they can begin the journey to collect everything of va

The DOOM Reshade mod basically allows players to reshade the game by recreating the pixelated look of the FPS classic and implementing the same on the graphically exquisite Night City. Although in-game text and HUD elements are going to be completely unreadable, it is a ridiculously cool mod to have, and, in a weird way, it fits the game's retrofuturist aesthe

Players will need the Phantom Liberty expansion to access one of the best SMGs in the game, and arguably the best Cyberdeck in Cyberpunk 2077 . What’s special about these weapons, is that players can only choose one, but they are both powerful. If players are dedicated Netrunners, or someone who just likes shooting things, then each has its advantages, especially since a Rouge AI is housed inside, which talks to V and fries targets’ brains from beyond the Blackwall to make some grizzly dea
